NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE PUBLIC ACCESS: NICK’S PICKS
What’s up everybody! So I am writing my first ever blog post, courtesy of the lovely Lauren Rose, and I have to be honest I’m a little nervous! I want to do well for her and all of you following! Anyways, as you all know there has been a big sale at Nordstrom and Lauren wanted to broaden her horizons a little bit and have me pick out some stuff that I like. We are being super clever and calling it “Nick’s Picks” (fitting I know). So I’m not a typical shopper, I get maybe 3 shirts a year and keep them for like 5 years, but lately I have splurged a little and I think I have Lauren to thank for that! While we were in South Carolina I got 3 different pairs of shoes and ended up buying a pair of khaki shorts as well (would’ve bought more but we ran out of time). Anyways, Lauren told me about this sale that she was covering and at first told me to pick out some stuff I liked, not knowing she was planning a whole blog post for me, and she bought some shirts and shorts that I put onto the list. When the secretly ordered clothes had arrived she told me to come over and take pictures with her for her blog, and to my surprise I found out that the whole post was for me!

So now to talk about the clothes. As Lauren may have already mentioned I’m a bit more flashy than her with my taste in clothes. This first shirt I love because one, it’s blue and that’s one of my go to colors when I shop, and two it has a lot going on. The floral print is actually really cool and I love the way it pops. The shirt itself is pretty comfortable which is important to me because I love comfort over everything. Some people say ‘look good, feel good’ but I like to say ‘feel good, look good’ because when you’re feeling your best, it’s a lot easier to smile (which is the best look of all). So this second shirt is a perfect example of that because when I first felt it I turned to Lauren and said “omg this is so soft”. The material is pretty thin so it’s a great shirt for the summer. At first I wasn’t too hot about the color, but Lauren (and my mother) think it’s a great color on me. After seeing the pictures I actually agree! I love the way the shirt isn’t necessarily a solid color and it has that washed look to it. It’s a good way to be casual yet not boring, which is a good fit to my kind of style. Lauren also got me the gray khaki shorts, which were different than the ones I originally picked out, but props to her because they seemed to be even better. The shorts were nice and light, which is again a good fit for me in the summer (especially with the way I sweat). The shorts were comfortable and the color pretty much matches with anything I want to wear, which is clutch for me because when I don’t know what to wear I can always throw these on and know I will look good. Lauren ended up doing a great job helping me out in my first time blog post, and a shoutout to her sister Kelly for helping me strike the perfect pose while taking pictures (I seemed to struggle with that the most). Well thank you for listening to me in my first post and I hope I didn’t let Lauren and all of you down!! I hope you like all my picks 🙂 –Nick
