Review: This was my first Catherine Cowles book and it’s safe to say I will definitely be reading more books by her! Ridley Sawyer had the worst possible thing happen to her - her twin sister went missing on the night before their college graduation. Since then, Ridley has made it her mission to help solve other cold cases to help find justice for others. She’s created a well known podcast that covers different cases and allows her to travel the country to engulf herself in the town the crime took place.

Ridley’s next destination is Shady Cove, a small town where a young girl, Emerson, was kidnapped years ago. Ridley desperately wants to cover this case because she’s convinced there’s a connection between this case and her sister’s case. She’s hopeful and determined until she’s met by Colt, the sheriff in town. He doesn’t want her causing any turmoil in their small town so he’s doing whatever it takes to get her to leave.

I loved the mix of romance and mystery in this book! I thought it was really well written and I loved all of the characters in the book. This book kept me interested the entire time and it was a pretty quick read! I also loved that a cat was one of the characters in the book :-).
